Keeping kids healthy during the dreary, stuck in doors, winter months can be especially challenging. Even though most kids are spending a lot more time at home instead of in a schoolroom with a bunch of other children, There is still a lot of time indoors and a great deal of time with kids sharing germs that easily are destroyed when sunny days abound.

So the next time you think about what are some first defenders for winter months consider:

The Sunshine Vitamin: C (in Kids vitamins)

Vitamin C does a great deal to help ward off the ordinary runny nose and helps combat free radicals running loose inside the body.

EFAs

Extra good fats help the body metabolize foods and use the fuel for keeping circulation going strong while removing toxins from the body. Having a balance of good fats keep the mind strong too.

Lower Sugar Intake

No matter how many vitamins you are taking, if you and your kids are enjoying the winter holidays stacked with candy on your table, you are robbing your kids of the vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. Sugar literally strips vitamins out of the body and leaves the body searching for nutrients to combat onslaughts from friends and family. Ust slim n Sassy, wintergreen, grapefruit and Peppermint oils to stop false hunger responses.

Get enough sleep

Winter hours are the perfect time to slow down early and get a longer night’s rest. 9 hours of sleep helps reduce visceral fat in the belly and organs and cortisol too. That means for less anxious kids, better grades and thinking skills, and less stress around the dinner table -which means everyone eats because they are hungry, not tired and stressed out. Use Serenity and

Vetiver to calm the brain and get extra zzz. Try a little adaptive- calming is important to getting a good night’s sleep! Have a nightly routine that includes stories and footrubs to settle down.

Other Nutrients

Make sure the kids take a good supplement and probiotics to keep their tummies well.

We have 25’ of intestine wound around inside our bodies. They are either healthy because of eating well, getting good sleep, and giving extra help with supplements, or they are hurting and stealing nutrients from other organs to help all systemes get the nutrients they need. After a while, we can over stress the body-- and that’s when winter colds set in. (PB assist and Kids Vitamins)

Bundle up and play

Playing and using the large muscles is important year round. Play releases tension and helps us feel bonded with the people we love.

But breathing in cold air can be shocking to the lungs and air passageways, so, cover the mouth with a scarf and put a few drops of Breathe on the scarf or breathe roll on for kids. That will open lungs and relax the passageways so you can enjoy a brisk walk together in the great outdoors.
